Piece of junk going back to store

Dont waste your money. I will be sending back and going with another brand. Piece of junk. Up dated model my foot. Down graded model they mean. Saw the mixed reviews but I thought I give it a try anyway. Sorry I did as the reviews were correct. The unit puts out warm heat even with it being on high heat. 1 days worth of cloths which consists of a pair of jeans socks, long sleeve shirt, sweater, a t-shirt, a light jacket and pj's were not dry at 1 hr. The 4 year old model that ge had upgraded this one to took 45 minutes for all that to dry and the heat coming from the dryer was hot not slightly warm. This has been a complaint from lots of other people but from what I have seen ge has done nothing to correct it. If the dryer had better heat than the clothes would dry quicker. But it sounds like ge doesn't care. As I said this dryer will be going back to the store and I will be looking into another brand that not ge. They used to be so good at their appliances. Not anymore.

It has been a great product so far. It has a much larger capacity than our old dryer.

a dryer that works

works well. minimal electronics, just standard dials, which is what we wanted. good capacity. takes longer to dry than a prior similar model, but not a problem; dealer indicates that these run more efficiently, so they don't blast tons of wasted heat, but that causes longer run cycle. also possiblay has temperature sensor instead of moisture sensor, but overall i can live with all this. it DRIES TEH CLOTHES ! BUZZER is very loud, set it on lower "just above off" and it is ok.

pretty loud

I had a GE Profile gas dryer that lasted 28 years. Even at the end my old dryer was not loud sounding. But I had a hard time finding a gas dryer and finally got it hooked up. So it is what it is. I will deal with it.

Works great, no issues, I only used the timed cycle but even on low heat towels are dry in about an hour

Great dryer, performance is good.

Our new GE dryer works great. It has good capacity to handle bigger loads. The ability to select the amount of heat is a nice feature. I like that it has a light inside too. Installing it was good, the delivery men were very nice. The dryer is very quiet when running and is performing well. Would buy another GE product when needed.
